FAQ
ON THE WEBSITE
How do I choose my games?
If you click on a game from the home page, you will see more details on a separate page. Here you can see brief descriptions as well as a photo of some sample materials for the game. Plus you can also see a preview of one page of the instructions, which should help you get a feel for the game. If you have any specific requirements, feel free to use the contact page to contact us.
Is it safe to use my credit/debit card?Your internet browser will identify our website as being secure which means that all the information that you enter is encrypted when it's sent back to us. All credit and debit card transactions are handled by Stripe who provide the banking infrastructure and fraud prevention technology required to operate online payment systems to millions of businesses worldwide. We do not store any credit card numbers in our databases.
How will you use my email address? The email address you enter at checkout is only used to send you the details of how you can download your games.
There is also an option asking if you would like to be sent extra information; if you tick this option, we will keep you informed about updates to our existing games as well as telling you about new games and improvements that appear in SederGames. In addition, we will be able to email you about how much we manage to raise for our supported charities.
What happens after I checkout? At the final stage of completing a purchase, you will see a confirmation page that gives you a link for you to download your games. Don't worry if you cannot download the games at this point; you will also be sent an email with the link.
The link will always allow you to download all the games that you have purchased, even if you have purchased them at different time.
I've previously played some of your games. What's new?Our new game for 2026 is Kosher Splices which is straightforward to prepare and play - and is guaranteed to be a whole lot of fun.
Don't forget our two recent games which have both proved extremely popular: Every Jew Counts and Four Answers
Having successfully supported Young Minds for the last few years, once again our profits will be donated to this inspiring charity, whose aim is to "fight for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges"
AFTER CHECKOUT
How do I download my games?
When you complete your purchase you will see a link that allows you to download your games. This link will also be sent to you via email.
The way in which we send out email should reduce the chances of the messages being caught in a spam filter. However, it can happen. If you can, ensure that our email address is excluded (or marked as "safe") in your spam checkers: hello@sedergames.com
I have not received my email with the download link - can you help?If you have already used the link that you were given at checkout to download your games (or you managed to copy the link and still have it) then you are good to go - it's not essential for you to receive the email that we send out, you only need the link.
However, if you still need this link and you have not received an email from us within 12 hours, please contact us. If you can provide the order number you were given at checkout, that would really help.
Why can I not download my games any more? There is a limit to the number of times you can download a game using the link we have sent you. If you have exceeded this limit for some reason, please contact us.
What am I actually downloading? For each game, there is one file that is downloaded to your device. Depending on the browser you are using, either the file will be placed in your Downloads folder or you will either be able to choose where the file is stored.
The file is a "zip file" (also know as a "compressed folder"). Depending on your system, when you double click the zip file, either you will be shown the documents contained with the zip file, or you will be asked to extract these documents in to a separate folder.
What do I need to prepare the games? Each game has an "instructions" document that will explain what you need to do to get the game ready for play. Every game requires one or more documents to be printed and some games require you to cut up some of the printouts in to cards or tokens.
It's worth making sure you have the time to prepare the games before your seder; time to print, cut and sort out all the materials that you will need.
How do I read and/or print the documents of each game? All of the documents we supply use the "PDF" format. Most people will be able to simply click on the documents to open them. If not, click on the link below for help and advice: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/acrobat/kb/cant-open-pdf.html
PLAYING
What do I need to play the games?
Everything you need to play the games is listed in the "instructions" document. Most of the time, you don't need anything else apart from the printed documents that you have downloaded. Some of the games suggest that you can use an egg timer as an optional extra.
Otherwise all you need is for everyone at your seder to be willing to join in the fun!
What age range are the games aimed at?Every game has been played at sederim that have people of all ages. The games are not particularly aimed at very young children and those at primary school will not be able to answer many of the questions. But because most of the games are team-based, we have found that many young children enjoy being part of a group of people who are all working together.
"Kosher Splices" contains a bonus game that should appeal to the youngest participants and both "Four Answers" and "Every Jew Counts" contain a set of questions specifically aimed at younger players.
How long do the games take to play?We advise to leave at least 20 minutes to play most of the games but many can last a lot longer. Ultimately, the timing is up to you. Every game can be halted at any point. Count up the points to find a winner at that point. Save any unanswered questions for another time.
Are the games suitable for yom tov?Absolutely. They all basically involve paper and people.
